About me
My name is Kriszta, the artist behind Kriandala. I create hand-painted mandalas inspired by harmony, nature and sacred geometry. Each artwork is painted slowly and intentionally, one dot at a time, transforming traditional decorative elements into contemporary works of art.

I have been painting since 2021. My artistic journey began with studying the traditional Petrykivka folk painting style under the guidance of Ukrainian contemporary artist Kateryna Kryvolap. Over time, I integrated these decorative folk motifs into mandala structures, creating a visual language that combines tradition, harmony and contemplation.

In 2023, my 1 × 1 meter mandala painting, Aurora, received Second Prize in the international Golden Time Talent competition based in London.
At that time, I worked under the name Balla Kriszta Art. However, international audiences often assumed that "Balla" was my first name, and I found myself repeatedly explaining that my given name is Kriszta (Christina). Seeking a more universal and recognizable artistic identity, I adopted the name Kriandala in 2026.

Today, under the Kriandala name, I continue to create meditative mandalas inspired by nature, sacred geometry, and the search for inner stillness. I create my mandalas to offer a momentary escape from the noise of the world. As I paint, I find stillness within myself. The repetition of patterns helps me slow down, reconnect and return to my inner center.
Sometimes I paint inspiration from the peaceful harmony of nature. At other times, I am guided by mystery, intuition, and the landscapes of the inner world. Each mandala is a quiet space — created for those who feel overwhelmed by constant noise and long for a moment of calm, presence and peace.

Artist's Endorsement
Recommendation by Kateryna Kryvolap Contemporary Ukrainian Petrykivka Artist
"I have known Krisztina for several years, and I still remember when she first became interested in Petrykivka painting. At that time, I encouraged her to try this beautiful Ukrainian folk art tradition and explore its rhythm, movement, floral elements and connection to nature.
What makes me especially happy today is seeing how she has grown as an artist and found her own creative direction. She did not simply learn the technique — she took the inspiration, understood its decorative language, and transformed it into something very personal and unique.
I truly admire the way Krisztina combines Petrykivka-inspired elements with mandala art. Her work is delicate, thoughtful, and full of harmony. Every detail feels carefully placed, and her artworks have a beautiful sense of patience, balance and inner calm.
As an artist, Krisztina has a strong sensitivity to detail and composition. Her pieces invite the viewer to slow down, look closely, and feel the quiet beauty behind every line, dot and repeated element.
It is very meaningful for me to see how the inspiration from Petrykivka painting can continue to live in a new artistic form when it is approached with respect, care and sincerity. Kriszta has created a style that feels recognizable, soulful and truly her own.
I am very proud of her artistic growth and warmly recommend her work to collectors, art lovers, and anyone who appreciates meaningful hand-painted art created with patience, love and soul."
Warmly,
Kateryna Kryvolap
